Research/Planning

To start the process of my all about me commercial I decided to go through my old photos in my phone and see how far back I could get. With luck I was able to find photos of my younger self like baby photos and so on. Though finding videos was more of a challenge I was able to find some from family. Like my parents and older sibling. Although I had the photos of me as a child, I also need to find videos of other aspects about me and my life. I decided to also collect photos of my various hobbies as well as videos. Moving on in the process of creating the commercial was a bit more of a challenge as I became stuck on how I would even start putting a commercial together. So, then the research portion began of me learning how I could use editing software or if it would be more beneficial to me to do something simple like cap cut.  Though I have had some experience using editing software's - as a result of my hobbies - I've never been fluent in the tech language. In the end I will most likely use a more advanced software in order to challenge myself. Now that I knew how to even start putting my commercial together, I could continue planning what I wanted the vibe of the video to be or how I wanted myself to come across considering it's all about me and just me. So, when I continued collecting videos, I decided to only look for specific that told my story. In the end this process did take a while, but it was efficient considering I ended with many videos to choose from. So of course, that began another process of sorting through the media to see what I absolutely wanted in the commercial. What absolutely told a quick story of who I am. Many photos and videos were deducted from leaving me with the final result of the lucky few for my commercial. Now, being someone who has a specific music it was surprisingly hard to find a song that would be exactly what I wanted. A song that I'm not "ashamed of listening to" or that's not "corny" as people like to say. In the end the song I decided on was New Person, Same Old Mistakes. This being one of the few songs that I feel expression through in myself.
