Production Blog - Filming Scenes (prep day)
Before we can really start the filming process, we have to make sure the group has everything they need for the day of. For one making sure everyone we need can make it to film on the day planned. To ensure this we made sure to message anyone we needed for the process from camera person to actors and made sure they wouldn't have to flake day of. By doing this we'd be able to make sure the day of filming is smooth. Another thing we had to make sure was solid were the costumes and wardrobe. These were provided by Honey from a thrift store. The costumes were vital to filming because they helped create the aura of the video. So, wardrobe was also a top priority. As far as making sure the goddess wore something that fit the vibe of a goddess. We also had to make sure there wouldn't be a problem with filming at the mall. With a few calls we were able to make sure no disruptions would come our way the day of. Now we can bring the storyboard into how we want the video to look. Since the story board is basically a drawn/written images of what each scene should look like, it makes the filming process ten times easier. Since I'm the editor, my job is to basically make the storyboard come to life along with how the person filming does. So, to further prepare for the process of editing that comes after filming I reviewed the storyboard and took notes to try and envision what the video will look like after filming each scene. By doing this I had a better idea of how the end result of would look. Though I won't be getting more into my editing process until later these steps should make the process flow better. So, at this point, the next step is to wait for filming day to come. Aswell as makes sure the group and actors are fully prepared for film day. Overall, these steps will contribute to the outcome of our filming process.
